Why the benefit is being held: The fundraiser is being held to raise awareness and funds for research for better treatments and a cure for this devastating disease. Kenzie was diagnosed with Cystinosis, a rare disease, when she was 2 years old. Cystinosis causes damage to every cell and slowly destroys all the organs in the body including the kidneys, liver, eyes, muscles, thyroid gland, brain, etc.

Special details of the benefit: The benefit is a golf tournament, called Kenzie’s Driving Fore a Cure, which will start with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Four-person teams are required; couples will be matched up the day of the event. Hole sponsorship is $200; four-person golf teams are $125 each (includes a cart, lunch, dinner and 18 holes of golf). Lunch is burgers; and dinner is a pizza buffet and refreshments.
