Name: Christine Havelka

Why the benefit is being held: Havelka was diagnosed with Pompe’s disease, which is a rare progressive muscle weakness requiring special equipment to breathe. She has been at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, since December and all proceeds from this benefit will be used for medical expenses and the purchase of equipment to allow her to go home.

When the benefit is: June 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Special details of the benefit: Spaghetti and raffle benefit, with 50/50 raffles and a silent auction. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children 5 to 17 years; free for those younger than 5 and $1 and $5 for 6 raffle tickets.
