I had an epiphony Saturday morning. I realized that if I actually want to cut fat, and get lean, I have to 100% commit to actual eating lean and clean. There's no "moderation" because that turns into binges and cravings. Maybe I've said this before as I'm sure I have about the eating clean. But since 2014 started, I have changed NOTHING. Except stepping up my workouts a bit. Workout All You Want, But I have to Change my eating. I've known this for years, and I think I'm ready for the challenge. I never wanted to be the weird one, wanting to fit in at the dinner table. And it's still true, but what's so weird about eating a chicken breast and vegetables accompanied by some rice or baked potato? I don't see what's so cray-cray about that. You can eat/drink what you want to impress people or fit in, but ultimately, are they the ones who have to deal or cope with your decisions after you eat it, and are so full, yet want MORE, and then have to end dinner with a dessert.

I told my husband, that I don't even want to go out to eat for like a month, until I can handle my crazy self and my old ways of "treating" myself. I can go to dinner, eat a whole meal, be full, and then crave chocolate (I've told you this before) and I give into those cravings, making NO CHANGE. NUhhh Uhhh Sister-Friend, NO MORE! I have asked on multiple occasions, different walks of people, "how do you stay so fit, what do you eat?" And you want to know the response? Fish, Chicken,Vegetables, Salads, Tuna, Water, Fruit...... And then right away I laugh and say to myself, Psssshhhhh that's sooo not true, they have to be just eating EVERYTHING in moderation, just like everyone says to do. But not one has ever looked me in the eye and said "Allyson, it's hard, it's trying, but if you eat like that, you will be cut, lean and have muscles like the hulk." Maybe, for some people (finger pointing over my head) moderation doesn't work right now. It only gives me the ultimate green light to eat a muffin for breakfast, then McDonald's for lunch, but a small size, then a helping of Lasagna for Supper with brownie for dessert, and sneak in some animal crackers or baked chips for snacks. (ok, it isn't always like that, but you know what I mean. Where are the nutrients, where is the God created food? No wonder he lived 100's of years. All he ate was the food he grew himself and animals that grew up in his backyard (BIG BACKYARD)
I'm not saying don't eat anything other than chicken, fish, veggies, fruit.....but what i am saying is, get uncomfortable with your changes. Make people double take you. Not only are you eating like a rockstar, your body is so tight and tiny you've just been mistaken for Jillian Michaels. Right? If I follow this path, will I see my results I've always wanted to see, FOREVVEEERRR (Sandlot). I'm hoping that if I eat like this, and I will try and try again, until i get it right. I read a quote that goes something like this. "Your not eating for today, your eating for tomorrow" So True! In that moment, you eat that donut, your so happy it's ridiculous, and you eat another one. But guess what happens tomorrow, you can feel that sugary goodness in your blood stream as soon as you wake up, and think to yourself, why did I eat that yesterday. Am I Right? Eat for tomorrow, so tomorrow when you wake up, you can feel amazing. Every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around. Anybody out there on a strict chicken, veggie, fruit, protein drinks, light carb "lifestyle". The word diet is so 1980's. Hopefully in 2 weeks, I can be living proof that everyone who says they eat chicken, veggies...etc. really does eat that way, and wait a second...IT REALLY WORKS!!! #somethingsgottagive
SIDENOTE:: I talk a lot of smack. If this doesn't work, or I fail to complete this mission. I will NEVER bring up a "great idea" pertaining to eating again. Unless I get smaller from it. You have my word.
