So, I'm going to do a little promoting here. The YMCA is currently enrolling members for the new session of exercise classes. Next Monday, is open to the public to sign up for classes. Meaning, you don't have to be a member.
Last March I dedicated myself to ONE class, just one, and now I am averaging 4-5 workouts per week. It's taken me some time, but it's the only way it sticks with you. So I do urge you to stick to one class a week, and then workout when you can. And, when your ready, add another weekly appointment with yourself on the same day/hour/time for a workout, even if it's for 30 minutes. I'm a firm believer tha you can have a hardcore workout in 30-45 minutes. My dad always said "you gotta start somewhere"
So my girlfriend and I have made a pact to take baby steps at losing weight. if you think about the WHOLE number, it seems impossible. But if you think in 1-2 lbs. at a time, and have deadlines, it seems much more reasonable. For me, 190 is my goal for October 1. I'm making it public knowledge, so when October 1st comes, I can FINALLY PROVE myself to you all. I've set goals before and only have failed, but this time I really think I'm going to do it. So, when you reach your 1-2 lb. goal, your next goal is to then MAINTAIN. Don't worry about losing more just yet. Just keep that number and hold it as close as you can. This is how champions are made. We get so caught up in lose lose lose, but what about maintain!?!?! We would be NOTHING if we didn't maintain. Normally when I would get close to a goal I'd be all like yahoooo let's eat chips and pizza to celebrate! No, you celebrate by keeping your head on straight so that your hard work stays and you don't have a pitty party for yourself in 2 weeks when the weight is back. Who's with me?! Everyone right now, commit to having 1 set day a week to workout, and commit to 1 lb lost by October 1st. I want email celebrations from you too!! firstname.lastname@example.org
