MARINETTE — Town & Country Veterinary Clinic announced Sept. 20 that it has acquired a new, 40-watt, Cutting Edge surgical laser.

This is an upgrade from the previous laser used at Town & Country Veterinary Clinic. According to the clinic’s release, the new laser “is considerably more advanced and is the gold standard in laser surgery for both animals and humans.”

The Cutting Edge Laser system combines the advanced features of previous models with a new metal CO2 canister, improved user interface, and 25-watt peak power with SmartPulse™ technology.

“The laser will make surgery a less painful alternative for your pet,” the clinic said in a release. The benefits of laser surgery include less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, extreme precision, a reduced risk of infection and a quick recovery, so pets can get back to running, jumping and playing sooner.

“Our clients will now have a choice of traditional surgery or laser surgery for many of our procedures, including dental procedures, orthopedics and tumor removals,” said Dr. Kim Herrild, Medical Director.

Town & Country Veterinary Clinic has been caring for pets for over 50 years and has been an AAHA Accredited Practice since 1982.
