GREEN BAY — Bellin Health announced Wednesday that it would be introducing Laura Cormier as CEO of Bellin Health Oconto Hospital and Julie Bieber as Vice President of Northern Region Strategy, effective Oct. 1.

Cormier, the current Vice President of Operations for Bellin Health Oconto Hospital and Clinics, will assume her new position as part of a new service delivery structure recently announced by incoming Bellin Health System President and CEO Chris Woleske.

“Laura is stepping into this role at an incredibly important time for our organization,” Woleske said. “Her experience and knowledge are second to none, and I know Bellin Health Oconto Hospital and our northern region facilities will continue to grow and thrive under her leadership.”

Cormier has held her current role since August 2005, serving as administrative leader for day-to-day operations including clinical, business, economic and strategic operations of the 10-bed Bellin Health Oconto Hospital, Marinette Multispecialty Clinic and six primary care clinics. Her new position will take those responsibilities to the next level, including adding oversight of and responsibility for Bellin’s northern region strategy. Incoming health system Vice President Bieber will execute that strategy.

“Bellin Health provides high-quality care at a lower cost, and we know we have the services, providers and facilities to improve care in the northern region,” Cormier said.

Bieber has been with Bellin for more than 20 years and has served in her current role as Bellin Health Surgical Services Director since 2012.

“Bellin’s growing northern region is an area of incredible importance, and we know Julie has the knowledge, experience and skill to execute a comprehensive strategy for our facilities there,” Woleske said. “The result will be an improved experience for providers, staff — and most importantly, our patients.”

Bellin’s northern region includes Bellin Health Oconto Hospital and Clinic, the Marinette Ambulatory Surgery Center and Bellin Health clinics in Marinette, Peshtigo, Crivitz, Lakewood, Daggett, Oconto Falls, Suring  in Wisconsin and in Menominee, Escanaba and Iron Mountain in Michigan.
